Pregnancy support

Support and treatment for your next pregnancy after loss

This means losing two or more pregnancies. Some couples have a treatable cause, such as a clotting condition, a thyroid problem or a difference in the shape of the womb. For others, no clear cause is found.

Starting again after loss takes courage. Knowing there is a plan for early support can ease some of the fear.

Dr Jasdev plans early scans and regular contact in your next pregnancy, alongside treatment for any cause found.

01

Timely, calm assessment

Your symptoms and dates are reviewed promptly, with scans and blood tests arranged when needed.

02

Honest explanations

You will be told what the results show, what is still uncertain, and what happens next.

03

A clear safety plan

You will know when to come back and which symptoms need urgent attention.

What this care gives you

  • Treatment for any cause found in testing
  • Early scans for reassurance in your next pregnancy
  • A clear point of contact when you are worried

How your care is planned

Early pregnancy can be an anxious time. Each step is explained so you know what is being checked and why. You will not be left waiting without a plan.

01

Complete tests for known causes

02

Treat any condition found before trying again

03

Plan early support once you are pregnant

How care is planned

If a cause is found, it is treated. For example, a clotting condition may be treated with aspirin and heparin injections in pregnancy, and a womb septum can be removed by hysteroscopy. Where no cause is found, care focuses on early scans, progesterone where evidence supports it, and emotional support.

Who may benefit

Women and couples who have had two or more miscarriages and are planning another pregnancy. It also helps those who are already pregnant again after previous losses and would like closer care.

What to expect

If you have not yet had tests, these are arranged first. Once you are pregnant, scans usually start at around six to seven weeks. Each visit explains what is seen and when the next check will be.

How Dr Jasdev works with you

He combines fertility and gynaecology experience with gentle, clear communication. Decisions follow current evidence and are made with you, at a pace that feels right. Questions are welcome at every visit, however small they seem. Women and couples see him from Kuala Lumpur and elsewhere in Malaysia.

Your questions about recurrent miscarriage care

What is recurrent miscarriage?

It usually means two or more pregnancy losses. It affects a small number of couples and can be very distressing.

Who should seek care?

Couples with two or more losses who are planning another pregnancy, or who are already pregnant again and want closer support.

What tests are needed?

Blood tests for clotting and hormone problems, a scan of the womb and sometimes genetic tests. These may already be done if you have had an assessment.

Is treatment painful or risky?

Most treatment involves tablets, injections or scans. Heparin injections can cause bruising. Any procedure, such as hysteroscopy, is explained first.

Why see Dr Jasdev for recurrent miscarriage?

He combines fertility and early pregnancy experience with a gentle, clear approach, and follows current evidence on what helps.
