Dr Jasdev Singh
Recurrent IVF Failure
After several unsuccessful IVF cycles, a careful review of what happened can show what to change, and whether to continue, adjust or consider other options.
Complex & Advanced Fertility Care
Learning from past cycles to plan your next step
This describes several IVF cycles that have not led to a pregnancy. The reasons may lie with egg or sperm quality, embryo development, the womb lining, or a mix of factors. A structured review looks at each one.
Each failed cycle takes an emotional and financial toll. You deserve an honest view of what may help and what is unlikely to.
Dr Jasdev reviews every cycle record in detail before suggesting any change.
A plan that starts with your results
Your age, history, test results and goals are reviewed before any treatment is suggested.
Clear reasons for each step
You will know why a test or medicine is recommended, what it can do and where its limits are.
Care that stays connected
Reviews are planned around how you respond, your cycle timing and your next decision.
What a structured review gives you
- A detailed look at stimulation, eggs, embryos and transfers
- Changes based on evidence rather than guesswork
- Honest advice on whether to continue, and how
How your care is planned
Every stage answers three questions: what is happening, why it matters, and what comes next. The plan is reviewed at each stage and adjusted when needed.
Gather records from every previous cycle
Identify what may have held things back
Agree a revised plan or discuss alternatives
What the review looks at
Stimulation doses and your response, the number and maturity of eggs, fertilisation and embryo development are all reviewed. Transfer technique and the womb lining are checked too. Where useful, tests such as hysteroscopy or genetic testing of embryos may be discussed.
Who may benefit
Couples who have had two or more unsuccessful IVF or ICSI cycles, whether embryos did not develop well or did not implant. It also helps if you want a second opinion before trying again.
What to expect
The first visit is mainly a review, so bring every record you have. Some tests may be arranged. At your review visit you will hear a clear summary and the options, including changes to the protocol or the overall approach.
How Dr Jasdev works with you
He brings together experience in fertility and gynaecology, and he explains things in plain language. Advice is based on current evidence and on what matters to you. You will always know what the next step is and why it has been suggested. He sees couples from Kuala Lumpur and across Malaysia, as well as some who travel from neighbouring countries.
What to bring to your appointment
Your records help Dr Jasdev understand your history quickly, so more of the visit can go to your questions. If you cannot find everything, bring what you have.
- Stimulation and monitoring records from each cycle
- Embryology reports and transfer details
- Any hysteroscopy, genetic or blood test results
What couples often ask after failed cycles
Most couples arrive with several questions. These common ones can help you plan what to ask.
What went wrong in our previous cycles?
Should we change the protocol or the lab approach?
Are extra lab treatments worth paying for?
How many more cycles is it reasonable to try?
Your questions about repeated IVF failure
What is recurrent IVF failure?
It describes several IVF cycles that have not resulted in pregnancy. The cause varies, so a careful review of each cycle is the first step.
Who should consider a review?
Couples after two or more unsuccessful cycles, or anyone wanting a second opinion before another attempt. Age and egg reserve shape the options.
What tests may be needed?
Often a hysteroscopy or saline scan, updated egg reserve and semen tests, and sometimes blood tests or genetic testing. Tests are suggested only when they could change the plan.
Is further treatment painful or risky?
Another cycle carries the usual IVF risks, such as overstimulation. Any new test or procedure is explained first, including the discomfort involved and the evidence behind it.
Why see Dr Jasdev after failed IVF?
He looks at your whole treatment history carefully and gives honest advice, including when a change of approach makes sense.
How do I book?
Call or WhatsApp the clinic. Sending your records before the visit allows a more thorough review.
This page is general information and does not replace a consultation. Whether a treatment suits you, and its risks and timing, should be discussed with Dr Jasdev based on your own history.
