Dr Jasdev Singh
Endometriosis-Related Infertility
Endometriosis can affect the tubes, ovaries and egg supply. Surgery, IVF or both are weighed carefully around your symptoms, age and plans.
Complex & Advanced Fertility Care
Choosing the right path to pregnancy with endometriosis
Endometriosis is when tissue similar to the womb lining grows outside the womb. It can cause pain, scarring and cysts on the ovaries called endometriomas. It can also make it harder for egg and sperm to meet.
Living with pain while trying to conceive is hard. Care aims to support both your fertility and your comfort.
Dr Jasdev weighs surgery, IVF or a mix of both, depending on the extent of disease, your age and your egg reserve.
A plan that starts with your results
Your age, history, test results and goals are reviewed before any treatment is suggested.
Clear reasons for each step
You will know why a test or medicine is recommended, what it can do and where its limits are.
Care that stays connected
Reviews are planned around how you respond, your cycle timing and your next decision.
What combined care gives you
- Fertility and pain treated as one plan
- Careful thought before any surgery on the ovaries
- Clear advice on when IVF may be the better route
How your care is planned
Every stage answers three questions: what is happening, why it matters, and what comes next. The plan is reviewed at each stage and adjusted when needed.
Review symptoms, scans and any previous surgery
Check egg reserve and your partner’s sperm
Choose surgery, IVF or both, in the right order
How endometriosis affects fertility
It can block or damage the tubes, cause scarring around the ovaries and create inflammation. Endometriomas can lower egg reserve, and removing them may lower it further. For this reason, the timing and type of surgery are planned with future fertility in mind.
Who may benefit
Women with known or suspected endometriosis who are trying to conceive. It is especially relevant with painful periods, pain during sex, ovarian cysts or a diagnosis made at previous surgery.
What to expect
Your first visit covers your symptoms, past treatment and goals. A detailed ultrasound and egg reserve tests are usually arranged. You will then talk through the options, with their benefits and risks, before anything is decided.
How Dr Jasdev works with you
He brings together experience in fertility and gynaecology, and he explains things in plain language. Advice is based on current evidence and on what matters to you. You will always know what the next step is and why it has been suggested. He sees couples from Kuala Lumpur and across Malaysia, as well as some who travel from neighbouring countries.
What to bring to your appointment
Your records help Dr Jasdev understand your history quickly, so more of the visit can go to your questions. If you cannot find everything, bring what you have.
- Reports from any previous laparoscopy
- Recent scan results and AMH
- A note of your pain pattern and current treatment

How can my pain be managed while we try?
Your questions about endometriosis and fertility
How does endometriosis affect fertility?
It can cause scarring, blocked tubes, ovarian cysts and inflammation that make conception harder. The effect varies a great deal between women.
Who should seek fertility advice?
Women with endometriosis who want to conceive, particularly after six months of trying, or with cysts or severe symptoms.
What tests are needed?
A detailed pelvic scan, AMH and other hormone tests, and a semen analysis for your partner. Past surgical reports help too.
Is treatment painful or risky?
Surgery involves recovery time and small risks, including an effect on egg reserve. IVF carries its usual risks. Each option is explained before you decide.
