Recurrent Miscarriage Assessment
After two or more pregnancy losses, careful tests look for causes that may be treatable. You get clear answers where they exist, and support either way.
Fertility Assessment
Looking for reasons after more than one pregnancy loss
Recurrent miscarriage usually means two or more losses. It is heartbreaking, and many couples wonder whether something could have been done. An assessment looks for known causes, such as clotting problems, hormone issues, the shape of the womb or chromosome changes.
In many couples no clear cause is found. Even then, planning support for the next pregnancy can help you feel less alone.
Dr Jasdev goes through your history gently and explains each test before it is done.
Timely, calm assessment
Your symptoms and dates are reviewed promptly, with scans and blood tests arranged when needed.
Honest explanations
You will be told what the results show, what is still uncertain, and what happens next.

What the assessment covers
Blood tests check for antiphospholipid syndrome (a condition that makes blood clot more easily), thyroid problems and diabetes. A 3D ultrasound or saline scan looks at the shape of the womb. If tissue from a loss was tested, those results are reviewed. Chromosome tests for both partners may be offered in some cases.
Who may benefit
Couples who have had two or more miscarriages, especially one after another. It may also help after a single late miscarriage, after twelve weeks, or when there are other health concerns.
What to expect
The first visit is a gentle conversation, and you are welcome to bring your partner or a support person. Tests are spread over a few weeks. Results are explained together at a review visit.

Your questions about recurrent miscarriage testing
What is a recurrent miscarriage assessment?
It is a set of tests to look for causes after two or more losses. It aims to find anything treatable and to plan better support in your next pregnancy.
Who should consider it?
Couples who have had two or more miscarriages, or a late miscarriage after twelve weeks. Your age and health history help decide which tests are useful.
What tests are involved?
Usually blood tests for clotting and hormone problems, a scan of the womb, and sometimes chromosome tests for both partners. Results from a lost pregnancy also help if available.
Are the tests painful or risky?
Most are blood tests and ultrasound scans, which are simple and safe. If a saline scan or hysteroscopy is needed, what it involves is explained first.
Why see Dr Jasdev for this?
He approaches pregnancy loss with care and patience. Each test is explained, and advice follows current evidence rather than unproven treatments.
How do I book?
