Recurrent Implantation Failure

When embryos keep failing to implant, treatment targets what your tests show, with honest advice on which options are proven and which are not.

Complex & Advanced Fertility Care

Fertility care

Treating the factors that may stop an embryo implanting

This means good quality embryos have been transferred several times without a pregnancy. Once tests are done, treatment targets any cause found, such as polyps, scar tissue, a thin lining or inflammation of the womb lining.

Many couples are offered long lists of extra treatments. Knowing which ones are supported by evidence can save money and heartache.

Dr Jasdev focuses on treatments with a sound reason behind them, matched to your results.

01

A plan that starts with your results

Your age, history, test results and goals are reviewed before any treatment is suggested.

02

Clear reasons for each step

You will know why a test or medicine is recommended, what it can do and where its limits are.

03

Care that stays connected

Reviews are planned around how you respond, your cycle timing and your next decision.

What targeted treatment gives you

  • Treatment linked directly to your test results
  • Clear advice on which extras are unproven
  • A carefully planned next transfer

How your care is planned

Every stage answers three questions: what is happening, why it matters, and what comes next. The plan is reviewed at each stage and adjusted when needed.

01

Confirm the findings from your assessment

02

Treat any problem in the womb or lining

03

Plan the next transfer with adjusted timing or support

How treatment is chosen

Polyps, fibroids or scar tissue inside the womb can be removed by hysteroscopy. Inflammation of the lining can be treated with antibiotics. Transfer timing or hormone support may be adjusted. Genetic testing of embryos may be suggested in some cases, especially when eggs are older.

Who may benefit

Couples who have had several transfers of good quality embryos without a pregnancy, ideally after an assessment has been done. It also helps those unsure which extra treatments are worth trying.

What to expect

You will go through your assessment results together and agree which treatments make sense. Some steps, such as a hysteroscopy, happen before the next cycle. You will receive a clear plan for the next transfer, including medicines and timing.

How Dr Jasdev works with you

He brings together experience in fertility and gynaecology, and he explains things in plain language. Advice is based on current evidence and on what matters to you. You will always know what the next step is and why it has been suggested. He sees couples from Kuala Lumpur and across Malaysia, as well as some who travel from neighbouring countries.

What to bring to your appointment

Your records help Dr Jasdev understand your history quickly, so more of the visit can go to your questions. If you cannot find everything, bring what you have.

  • Your implantation failure assessment results

Patient questions

What couples often ask

Most couples arrive with several questions. These common ones can help you plan what to ask.

01

Which treatments are likely to help us?

02

Are immune treatments worth trying?

03

Should we test our embryos?

04

How long should we wait before the next transfer?

Your questions about treating implantation failure

What is recurrent implantation failure?

It is when several transfers of good quality embryos do not lead to pregnancy. Treatment aims at any cause found during assessment.

Who is treatment suitable for?

Couples with repeated unsuccessful transfers, ideally after tests of the womb, hormones and embryos. The plan depends on what those tests show.

What tests are needed first?

A womb assessment such as hysteroscopy, relevant blood tests and a review of embryo quality. Without these, treatment becomes guesswork.

Is treatment painful or risky?

It depends on the step. Hysteroscopy can cause cramps and is done with pain relief or sedation. Medicines have side effects, which are explained before you start.

Why see Dr Jasdev for this?

He is open about which treatments have good evidence behind them, so your time and money go towards steps that make sense.

How do I book?
